I disagree with the death penalty because it is not an effective deterrant to the crime, capital punishment doesn't save that much money and there is worse punishment available.
I disagree with the death penalty because I feel that you would be more miserable in a jail cell for all your life, its very expensive, and its hypocritical because you are killing someone for doing a crime of some type of murder.
I agree with the Death Penalty in the United States, because if the person who committed murder is guilty and there's no doubt about it, they should have their life taken just as they took the life of the person they killed. The criminal should be punished for their crime. It would reduce crime, due to fear of being put to death.
I disagree witht the death penalty because you suffer more sitting in a jail cell for 50 years, its more expensive then having them stay in the prison, and I feel like its not a punishment because you're getting out of a terrible life and they deserve to suffer that terrible life.
I agree with the death penalty because it keeps the jail less crowded, it saves the government some money, and it shows that people should 'Do to others as they wish be done to themselves'
I agree with the death penalty because it could prevent more people from being killed, it would make criminals value their lives more, and it's serving justice to murderers.
I believe that the death penalty isn’t the right way to punish an individual because of the value of someone life is very important, it’s the easy way out, and the cost of executing someone costs more than life in prison.
I don't agree with the death penalty because the government is killing people for killing other people and that's hypocritical. War is the only justifiable killing of someone. Also, because there are worse forms of punishment for terrible crimes, and criminals should have to suffer through things like true solitary confinement. Death is just an easy way out. Lastly because putting someone to death costs more money than keeping them in prison.
I believe that the death penalty is morally wrong and should be outlawed in the United States because it doesn't save money, it does not prevent other criminals from committing violent crimes, and someone who is innoncent may have to suffer this terrible punishment.
I disagree with the death penalty because it ends up costing more to put someone to death, its more of a punishment for them to stay in prison, and we dont have the right to decide whens someone dies.
I disagree with the death penalty beacuse it is possible that they could kill someone who is innocent, it costs more money than leaving them in prison, and it takes away the right of life.
Against; promotes an eye for an eye feeling, should ruled cruel and unusual punishment, and it defeats the purpose of our legal system
Against; morality, constitionality, and deterrence. (essay explains all)
I agree with the death penalty because if you commit a murder you deserve the highest form of punishment, I believe it is the only way justice is served, and that it keep society safe from dangerous people.
I am against the death penalty because a person could have been wrongly accused, life in prison makes you feel the guilt and think about what you have done everyday and guarentees no future crimes from this person, and because it is against human rights.
I disagree with the death penalty because it violate rights to life, it costs much more than just jailing the person, and there is always the possibility for error.
I disagree with the death penalty because it doesn't actually save money, it is morally wrong, and an innocent prisoner could be executed
I agree with the death penalty because the criminals should be punished to the highest extent, it is a higher justice, and it is used sparingly.
I agree with the death penalty because it is only used when necessary, it deters murder and other felonies, and it serves justice to murderers.
I support the death penalty because you give up your human rights when you take away someone else's human rights, it free's up prison space for overcrowded prisons is a common problem, and it deters criminals from being big time offenders.
I said i agreed with the death penalty, as a proper form of capital punishment and a way of hopefully detering people from committing violent and offensive crimes.
i agree with the death penalty because if you kill someone i dont believe that you should have the right to live the rest of you life.
I disagree with the death penalty because an innocent person can be accused, it's morally wrong, and life in prision makes a person guilty enough because they have no life outside of prision and have to think of what they have done every single day of their life because they're locked up forever.
I agree with the death penalty. Its not about someones morals or opinion but instead its about the right thing to do. If one man is killed off by another, then why should the killer have the chance to walk free ? It is immoral to let a killer walk free, it can bring closure to someones pain, and it is less room for the prison systems.
I agree with the death penalty because it keeps death in the option for intimidation for criminals, it serves as justice for some families, and it keeps some horrible people out of this world.
i believe in the death penalty.
•If someone murders someone else, they have given up their human rights, including the one to stay alive themselves
•The punishment should 'fit the crime' - if you have killed someone, you should be killed too
•The very small chance of executing the wrong person is balanced by the benefits to society of putting off other murderers
